Ecuador
This relatively small but immensely biodiverse Latin American country stole my heart from the day I came to live within the majestic volcanic walls of her capital city, Quito. With the Andean mountain range running down her length, the Amazon rainforest at her heart, the palm fringed Pacific coast lapping against her shores and the Galapagos Islands lying off of her coast, Ecuador offers a vast range of stunning landscapes. The Ecuadorian people are equally as diverse and colourful as the lands they live in. Home to a plethora of ethic groups, languages and dialects, Ecuador is undeniably rich in life. In turn, this country has enriched my life.
